This high-level panel discussion organized by Finance Montréal in partnership with EY, will provide an overview of the structure of the ISSB, describe how existing standards will fit into the ISSB’s work, and how the ISSB will impact corporate sustainability reporting and its implications for financial markets and investors when assessing enterprise value.

On March 31, 2022, Finance Montreal hosted an FSI Morning Talk entitled "Sustainable Finance: trends and challenges to watch for in 2022". This event aimed to review this year's issues and trends, from the risks of greenwashing, to the credibility of net-zero transition plans, to the emergence of international sustainability standards, to issues related to diversity, equity and inclusion. These topics will undoubtedly be important in the upcoming shareholder meeting season. 

Finance Montreal and AFFQ invited you to this event which aims to affirm the female leadership found within Quebec's financial institutions, to explain the catalytic role that women play in the development of this underlying trend in the province and elsewhere in the world, as well as to inspire the next generation to consider the professions that promise shape the finance of tomorrow. 

Finance Montreal invited you on December 9 to an FSI Morning Talk - Round Table entitled "Managing your low carbon transition: moving from words to action", organized as part of the Low Carbon SME initiative, co-initiated by Québec Net Positif and CCG, and presented by Desjardins, EDC and financed in part by the Government of Canada. Its objectives were to present the ACT - Assessing low Carbon Transition - approach developed jointly by ADEME and CDP and to better understand its usefulness in accelerating the transition of companies, including SMEs, and its use by financial players.

Finance Montreal and CAFIID invited you to a virtual conference in French on December 1, 2021 to hear the highlights of the 2021 State of Canadian Impact Investing: Strengthening Canadian Leadership in Global Impact Investing. Panelists discussed the dynamics of the sector, its progress, best practices, and the tremendous opportunity to grow the sector in Canada. They also shared their investment strategies to build successful portfolios that contribute to the sustainable development goals.

During this online event, our speakers discussed new opportunities to build stronger partnerships with Aboriginal peoples by investing directly in their communities, particularly in First Nations housing.
